Successfully completing a certified Driver Education Program course that includes 30 hours of classroom learning and six (6) hours of behind-the-wheel training is a requirement for all new Maryland drivers, regardless of age. In Maryland, the driver education program is provided by private driving schools that are licensed and certified to deliver this program.

At Green Light Driving Academy, we open registration seasonally.

Students may not register for a session after it has already started.

Our classes are held in-person, virtual, or hybrid (option to attend both).

Below you will find our schedule for the calendar year.

Driver's Education is $425 which covers the 30-hour classroom portion AND the 6-hour behind the wheel lessons. There is an option to complete classroom instruction with Green Light Driving Academy and then transfer to a different school for behind-the-wheel. You must choose that option during registration. Registration is completed ONLINE.

The first day of class is MANDATORY for students. Parents will receive a mandatory orientation video that must be completed before the student's last day of class.
